We are still learning about web sites and apologise for any problems/errors. We would appreciate knowing if there are significant errors and/or problems that need to be repaired—we can only do our best! It’s a big learning curve..!
Text Box: We aim to provide a more traditional style Agricultural Show with the emphasis on Livestock. However, there are many other attractions and with a local theme. There are Fell Races for all ages, Cumberland & Westmorland Wrestling, a superb Local Craft Fair and a variety of Trade Stands. We recently added a Vintage section to the show and this has proved a huge success. In 2007, due to the foot and mouth restrictions that prevailed and the resultant lack of livestock we introduced children's’ games, and these went down extremely well — and are back again this year, by popular demand!. Subject to the vagaries of agricultural life, we hope to show our full range this year—including Sheep Dog Trials and Hound Trails. There will, of course, be the Industrial Section which, not surprisingly, always attracts a goodly number of competitors keen to show off their skills (whether it be cookery, art, crafts or floral) and once the industrial tent opens after judging there is a steady flow of people coming in to admire the quality of the produce.
Troll through the pages (Menu located top left of this page) and you will get an idea of what there is on offer—either from the competitive point of view or through the eyes of the visitor. All in all, it has the potential of a great day out for all the family and we hope that you will be able to join us—whate’er the weather!! (Pah! Famous last words, 2008—and 2009...!)
We have also re-introduced a Poultry section this year—with grateful thanks to John and Joan Barry who have undertaken to organise the whole thing. To enter or find out more, contact the following e:mail address: joan.barry123@btinternet.com This is pre-entry only so get in there fast!.

And, hot off the press, a couple from Vivienne Coleman who’s website can now be found in our Related Links Page.  Stunning pencil drawings of pets and other flora and fauna to drool over.  Grateful thanks.

Fell Race results are also available this year.

Many thanks to Chris Knowles for forwarding them to me.  Apparently they are also on the CFR website — it’s a case of seek and ye shall find!

Right, it’s 5 p.m. So I’ll print and be d****d!
